For those of you who attended my 21st, you may recall my birthday dress? I fell in love the moment I laid eyes on it. It certainly screamed 'BIRTHDAY GIRL', which is exactly what you're looking to wear on that special day whether it be your Formal, 21st Birthday or Wedding Day. The talent behind these uniquely magnificient, elegant and truly stunning feminine pieces is Melbourne Designer, Anna Campbell.

If you haven't already realised, I'm a MASSIVE fan and was very lucky to grab some of Anna's precious time to talk about her work and upcoming Winter Collection.

CW: Have you always wanted to be a Designer?

AC: Yes, but not always a Fashion Designer. I seriously considered studying printmaking and life drawing after high school.

CW: What inspired you to be a Designer?

AC: Being able to create the ideas that I had. To be able to work in the field that I loved most, for myself is a dream come true.

CW: Which Designer inspires you?

AC: Colette Dinnigan's work is incredibly feminine and beautiful.

CW: Who do you make your designs for?

AC: Girls wanting to dress up and feel amazing, whether it be for a birthday, formal, spring racing or wedding.

CW: Where can we purchase Anna Campbell designs?

AC: We offer made to measure from our Brunswick Boutique, by appointment only. Otherwise there is a full list of stockists selling off the rack at our website
http://www.annacampbell.com.au/

CW: Your most exciting venture to date is the 'Anna Campbell Boutique' in Victoria which houses your bridal collection, one off garments and a whole lot more. Tell us a little bit more about the boutique...

AC: The boutique houses our boutique collections and the bridal collection which is a new initiative for the label. Our bridal collection is made to measure and all hand made from our Brunswick studios. It creates a fresh alternative to traditional bridal dresses.

CW: Can you offer any advice to others pursuing a career in design?

AC: Be prepared for setbacks, and work hard! Get as much practical experience as possible, and make the most of every opportunity.

CW: Can you tell us a little bit about your new Winter Collection?

AC: The theme of our Winter Collection is 'Classic Vintage'. We searched the world over for beautiful new silks and embellishments, and we are thrilled with the outcome. Our Winter Collection introduces fitted silk blazers, and feather mini skirts, as well as carrying our classic feminine silk dresses. Amongst our pretty pastel colours we have introduced splashes of bright colour, with coral and indigo.

CW: What's your favourite piece in this Collection?

AC: It would be the 'Backless Bow Dress'. It uses a soft silk satin, with stand out embellished bows, and beaded fringing. It has the classic Anna Campbell back piece too.

CW: What's in store for the future?

AC: We want to keep producing quality, innovative design, made in Australia, from luxury fabrics. We are expanding our range too - with Spring Summer including a lace clutch range.
